In our weekly Christian Inner Healing meeting last Wednesday, we saw Jesus heal people who volunteered to have him touch their lives by sharing their stories. Pastor Timothy Tomlinson led the service and showed us how God can change someone’s present life that has been affected by past trauma.
The most touching story of all came from Karri, who said that she felt like there were “spiritual puppet strings” controlling her. She believed that eating worsened this feeling. Therefore, her experience demonstrated that spiritual oppression can interfere with daily functioning.
Pastor Timothy handled Karri’s situation with care and methodized deliverance. Firstly, He invited her to express herself on what was ailing her; she responded by saying that she wanted to be free from manipulation likened unto puppets. Then he went step by step highlighting different names of Jesus which should be used in breaking chains off people’s lives where necessary for complete freedom. He guided her through prayer declaring renunciation as well as faith in Christ Jesus for total liberty.
