The Transformative Power of Inner Healing and Deliverance

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus! Today, we are blessed to gather and delve into the essential topic of inner healing and deliverance, presented by the esteemed Evangelist Dr. Norschenia Dobbs from Lady D's Health and Wellness Center US. We have the privilege of hearing from two distinguished guests: Dr. Leland Jones and Pastor Timothy Tomlinson. Their expertise and dedication to the ministry of healing are truly inspiring.

Inner healing and deliverance are crucial aspects of spiritual growth and maturity in Christ. Dr. Jones began the session by emphasizing the importance of this topic, noting that this is the second part of a series on inner healing and deliverance. This continuation highlights the ongoing need for such ministry, especially in these times.

Dr. Jones and Pastor Tomlinson's Contributions

Pastor Tomlinson, introduced by Dr. Jones, has done a lot of important work in inner healing, especially in deliverance and the courts of heaven. Dr. Jones talked about Pastor Tomlinson's new book, "A Playbook on the Heavenly Courts." This book is a great guide for healing through the courtrooms of heaven. It highlights the importance of scripture and always points to God's presence and love, making it a useful tool for people looking for inner healing.

The Need for a New Heart

Dr. Jones talked about how we need new hearts to grow up in our faith. This comes straight from the Bible - Ezekiel 36:26 tells how God gives us new hearts and attitudes. The doctor underlined that even though we're reborn Christians, our hearts require an upgrade before we can completely take on our roles and purpose as followers of Jesus.

Addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences

One of the critical points Dr. Jones made was the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on individuals' lives. These experiences can lead to social and emotional impairments, diseases, disabilities, and even early death. He noted that while the government and medical fields acknowledge these issues, they are often not addressed adequately in public discourse. Inner healing aims to block these negative outcomes before they lead to severe consequences, ensuring that people do not suffer from early death without understanding the reasons behind it.

Preventive Medicine and Spiritual Healing

Dr. Jones emphasized the importance of preventive medicine in both the physical and spiritual realms. He pointed out that preventive measures can reduce the need for medical intervention by addressing issues before they escalate. This approach aligns with the concept of inner healing, where addressing spiritual wounds early can prevent long-term suffering.

The Inner Child and Truth Serum

Inner healing often involves rescuing the "inner child," the part of us that has been wounded by past traumas. Dr. Jones shared his experience of using truth serum in a hospital setting, which helped patients reveal hidden aspects of their personalities and traumas. This revelation is crucial for healing, as it allows individuals to confront and integrate these hidden parts of themselves.

The Role of Forgiveness

Forgiving people who hurt you is so important for healing inside. Both Dr. Jones and Pastor Tomlinson really stressed how we got to forgive our parents especially. Doing that can break generational curses and help bring families back together, leading to huge personal and spiritual growth and pastor Tomlinson even said that forgiving our dads can be one of the greatest gifts we give our own kids since it lays a foundation of love and reconciliation in families.

But forgiveness ain't always easy. You got to be willing to let go of old hurts and trust that God will bring justice and show mercy. Dr. Jones pointed out that a lot of the emotional and spiritual roadblocks we hit come from anger and bitterness we haven't dealt with. When we forgive others, it's like we set down those burdens and make room for Gods healing to flow through our lives. This connects to Colossians 3:13 which tells us to forgive as the Lord forgave you, showing how forgiveness can transform us as we heal and become whole.

The Guardian of the Heart

Dr. Jones talked about this idea of a guardian of the heart. It's like we put up walls around our hearts to avoid getting hurt again. But those walls can also stop God's healing love from really reaching the deepest parts of us that need it and to get inner healing, we've got to get past the guardian and let our hearts be totally open to God.

Dr. Jones said sometimes a person just falls apart emotionally, and then its easier for healing to start since everything's already exposed.

He also said the guardian can be demonized, making healing even harder. He referenced Psalm 24 where the King of Glory is knocking but the guardian is questioning Him and won't let Him in. The guardian blocks off different rooms in our hearts keeping out full healing. To overcome it takes spiritual discernment and often deliverance ministry to tear down those walls so God can restore us completely.

Spiritual Warfare and the Armor of God

Dr. Jones talked about how important spiritual warfare is and why we really need to put on the full armor of God, like it says in Ephesians 6:10-18. He said the armor protects us from spiritual attacks and helps us stand strong in our faith and each part of the armor, from the belt of truth to the sword of the Spirit, has a key job in keeping us spiritually healthy and free. For instance the belt of truth isn't just a little belt but a covering for our private areas, kinda symbolizing protection of our family line and generational blessings.

I thought it was an interesting way to look at a familiar Bible passage. The armor isn't just symbolic but has a real purpose in guarding us, our lineage, and our connection to God. Dr. Jones had some creative insights on making sure we're covered spiritually.

The Blood of Jesus

The power of Jesus' blood is so important for us to grasp. As Dr. Jones talked about, it's like a key weapon we need to wield in spiritual battle. He helped us see how the blood of Jesus purifies us from sin's stain and shelters us from attacks, kind of like the Passover lambs blood shielded the Israelites.

I thought it was a wake-up call for us to start claiming Jesus' blood over our lives daily as a covering. That visual of dabbing blood on doorframes struck me - we got to take advantage of that option for spiritual protection too! After all, Jesus bled and died to give us access to that kind of deliverance from evil. It's on us now to apply the power of His sacrifice.

Multiple Personality Disorder and Inner Healing

Dr. Jones recently discussed the complex issue of multiple personality disorder (MPD). Sharing a patient's story, he highlighted the trauma that often underlies MPD and the power of inner healing to help integrate fractured identities.

This woman lived with distinct alternate personalities that emerged to cope with childhood abuse and by acknowledging her alters as real and wounded parts of herself, she could extend them compassion. As her healing progressed, the boundaries between personalities softened. No longer isolated fragments they reconnected into a cohesive whole.

Through spiritual encounters and deliverance prayer, the patient found self-acceptance and wholeness. Her journey speaks to the depth psychology and soul recovery work essential for resolving MPD. When treating this disorder, the standard psychiatric approach may prove incomplete. Methods that address the spiritual dimension can facilitate profound transformation from inner fragmentation to integration.

While a delicate process, inner healing allows us to embrace our most vulnerable places. By uncovering and inviting healing into our deep wells of pain we move towards reconciling our fractured pieces into an integrated life.

Practical Steps for Inner Healing

Pastor Tomlinson and Dr. Jones offered practical steps for pursuing inner healing. These steps include regular prayer, repentance, and aligning one's life with biblical principles. They emphasized the importance of community support and the role of the church in providing a safe space for healing and growth. Dr. Jones shared that bringing up issues repeatedly until there is no more pain is a significant part of the process. This iterative approach helps ensure that all areas needing healing are addressed thoroughly, allowing individuals to experience complete restoration .

Another practical step involves dealing with tormenting memories by taking them captive and bringing them under the authority of God's Word. Pastor Tomlinson explained that when the enemy comes against us with these memories, it is up to us to train our minds to obey God's Word. This discipline helps to break the power of negative thoughts and emotions, facilitating inner healing. Both pastors stressed the necessity of actively participating in the healing process, as a small percentage of people might reach out for help but not follow through with the necessary work behind the scenes.

The Courts of Heaven

Pastor Tomlinson talked some more about the Courts of Heaven, saying regular people can bring their problems to God the judge. The idea is to ask God to step in and fix things for you. The pastor really pushed this concept of the Courts of Heaven as a big deal when it comes to spiritual battles and praying for stuff. He thinks Christians don't know enough about these Heavenly Courts and how you can make your case to God and Jesus to get them to do something for you and this could really change lives if churches taught more about it and people understood how to use the Courts of Heaven to make pleas and get breakthroughs.

Pastor Tomlinson told us about how he started learning about the Courts of Heaven. At first, when God put it on his heart to study this more, he was confused and didn't really get it. But he kept at it, praying a lot and trying to understand this idea of bringing stuff to God like he's a judge in a courtroom and it took some time but eventually things started clicking. He realized that if he was super specific in praying, like laying out a detailed case, he would often see immediate results. Breakthroughs would happen, or he'd just feel peaceful about stuff he brought before God. The key was being as detailed as possible when presenting an issue kind of like how lawyers have to be crazy prepared when they bring a case to court.

So yeah, Pastor Tomlinson walked us through his own journey with the Courts of Heaven. How it went from confusing to making sense as he persisted in prayer and seeking. And how crucial it is to be specific whenever you bring a matter before Gods court. Just like in a real courtroom, the details matter big time.

The idea behind connecting with the Courts of Heaven is realizing Jesus is in charge and asking the Holy Spirit to show you what's up. Pastor Tomlinson talks about some practical things to do - pray for the courts to look into your life, ask Jesus to send angels to tie up any devil stuff going on, and ask the Holy Spirit to uncover hidden problems you got to deal with. When you get healing and restoration in those places, the enemy can't accuse you anymore and you feel free and have a new sense of purpose to keep going.

The Journey of Restoration

The process of inner healing is like going on a long trip to fix things that are broken inside. Dr. Jones and Pastor Tomlinson said it takes time and you got to stick with it even when it gets hard or hurts to remember bad stuff from the past. Sometimes people try to make themselves feel better by keeping busy or even drinking or doing drugs, but that doesn't really work for good. What Dr. Jones was saying is you got to open up and let Jesus help heal all the old hurts buried deep down if you really wanna start feeling whole again.

This process of healing is about seeing the ways we've tried to get better that haven't worked, and being willing to try new things that match up with what God says. Dr. Jones talked about how as we grow in faith, we get better at bringing our struggles to God and letting Him make us whole. It takes a lot of prayer, help from others and advice from mentors like Pastor Tomlinson who get how complex inner healing can be and the goal is to end up closer to God, with more peace and wholeness. It's a journey for sure.

Conclusion

Wrapping things up, inner healing and deliverance are so important for Christians to live fully. Dealing with past hurts that affect us now, letting go of bitterness toward others, and using spiritual resources can lead to feeling free and whole. When we commit to this process I think of the Bible verse that talks about becoming a new creation in Christ and the old wounded self dies and we become new. Though it's an ongoing journey, embracing healing brings freedom. I ain't perfect in this area but I try to apply these principles when I struggle with my past. It helps me move forward as I let Jesus work on my heart.

Blessings,

Pastor Sarah Tomlinson
