Finding Freedom and Inner Healing Through the Teachings of Jesus
Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I'm Pastor Sarah Tomlinson, thanks for checking out our blog. I really enjoy making these because it takes a one-hour replay of a live service and shrinks them into 15-20 minutes. We will also have some things on here that we did not get to cover during the live session and vice versa. So get ready for some good news! What I want to do right now is encourage you to put your faith in Jesus and let’s believe together for some breakthroughs! My prayer is that what we teach from the Bible today impacts your life in a major way and draws you closer to God!

Welcome to Our Trip To Freedom And Inner Healing Thru Jesus’ Teachings
Today we start a series called “Finding Freedom and Inner Healing Through the Teachings of Jesus”. Throughout these seven sessions our aim is to lead you into spiritual freedom and emotional healing based on the transformative grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
As we begin with session one let’s lay some groundwork by discussing what it means for someone to be healed or set free. So much can be said about this passage alone but I want us to keep our focus on those two words: healing and freedom. In other words, how does one experience true healing? What causes someone’s heart to become whole again where they can live life without being held back by anything?
Let's Get Deep Inwardly Healed With Luke 4:18-19 (The Marrow Of Salvation)
At the core of Jesus' ministry described in Luke 4:18-19, He declares His divine mission to "preach good news to the poor…to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor." This verse does not only tell about physical healings but a deeper kind of restoration. Jesus did not only come to heal bodies; He came also to mend broken spirits and release people bound by unseen chains of hopelessness and sin. What He did was an all-round healing — it aimed at reviving not just sick bodies but also hearts and minds burdened by earthly life.
When we talk about inner healing and deliverance, it becomes evident that these ministries are not optional extras in Christianity; rather they form part of what Christ preached as gospel. Each healing act or deliverance was like a signpost pointing towards where God’s Kingdom breaks into human situations offering more than temporal relief but everlasting change. In His encounters with people, Christ revealed how deeply connected our spiritual well-being is with emotional health as well as physical conditionality hence showing that divine intervention can restore them back into balance or harmony again. That’s why He calls for holistic renewal – starting from within oneself outwardly affecting every sphere of one’s life.
Such an all-inclusive method towards getting well cannot be overemphasized today any less than it was during Jesus’ days on earth either. In a world where brokenness often hides behind quick fixes, inner healing and deliverance remains a ray of hope yielding real lasting liberty. It involves breaking loose from spiritual and emotional entanglements which hold us captive thereby preventing full embracing of abundant living promised by Christ Jesus. We can therefore foster personal and communal transformational processes through adopting His teachings coupled with emulating His steps thereby keeping alive the cycle of making things new that began with Jesus’ ministry while still in this world.
Why We Need Inner Healing And Deliverance Today
The world today is fast-paced and often tumultuous. Inner healing and deliverance are needed now more than ever. Many individuals carry unresolved past traumas such as abuse, rejection, or deep loss that keep them from experiencing the abundant life promised by Jesus in John 10:10. However, if these root issues are not dealt with, people will still be bound by their pasts, thereby making it impossible for them to fully enjoy the freedom and peace that come with being spiritually and emotionally whole. Through inner healing, one is able to confront and deal with those old wounds, which then paves the way for him or her to live life at its best, unchained by any previous affections.
Also, we cannot ignore the spiritual side of our struggles; believers today face relentless attacks from spiritual enemies who want nothing but to see us lose our peace with God forever. These spiritual foes take advantage of unhealed points as their weakest links, hence leading to widespread restlessness and feeling disconnected from God. In this context, therefore, one requires deliverance to free themselves from these satanic holds which rob them of inner tranquility. Deliverances also help Christians build up their spiritual defenses through continuous inner healings so that they can have a closer walk with God even when things seem tough – it gives them strength beyond measure!
When healing occurs, deliverance follows. Just as the Israelites were delivered from Pharaoh’s grip when they crossed the Red Sea, the woman with the issue of blood was freed from her sickness when she was healed. Healing—whether emotional, mental, physical, or spiritual—typically precedes deliverance.
Sharing Testimonies On How God Has Healed Us (2 Corinthians 1:3-5)
We cannot underestimate the power of sharing our personal stories as a way of letting others know that God is still in the healing business. Take for instance Alma and Mike whose lives were transformed through encounters with Holy Spirit and Christian Inner Healing; such experiences bear semblance to those recorded in 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 – where Apostle Paul talks about being comforted by God during times trials so that we may able comfort others also.
Living Out Jesus’ Healing Ministry (Isaiah 61:1-3)
The mission statement of Jesus was already prophesied by Isaiah long before His arrival here on earth; it entailed bringing hope into situations where people had lost all hope due to various reasons including oppression or any other form of brokenness(Isaiah 61). We need not wait until Sunday morning alone but rather each day present opportunities for us to participate actively in this ministry thereby continuing what Christ began while He walked among men.
Creating Healing Spaces (James 5:13-16)
Establishing recovery spaces in our neighborhoods is essential, according to James 5:13-16. These verses highlight the significance of praying together for one another, anointing with oil, and confessing sins. But it’s not just a matter of going through the motions; these practices represent what healing communities should be like – compassionate and restorative as Jesus Christ himself was. If churches want to be like Christ in deed as well as word, then they must create an atmosphere where such spiritual disciplines are not only tolerated but also nurtured; places where people can lay down their burdens openly before God and each other, seeking solace for their souls. This shared aspect of healing creates stronger bonds between members who become a supportive network for one another on individual journeys towards wholeness.
Furthermore, taking steps towards dealing with our past hurts is vital if we are to grow personally or collectively. Keeping a journal can serve as therapy because it helps us express ourselves about what happened while facing up directly to those painful events themselves. In this regard, therefore, I suggest that individuals need to continually revisit old problems – let them bring back feelings and work through them by self-inner-healing training until they receive tangible proofs from Jesus saying “I have made everything new.” It’s part of the process which enables someone to move beyond yesterday’s wounds so that every hurtful encounter gets bathed in the blood of Jesus Christ, who is both our forgiving Savior and deepest healer. The practice itself becomes more effective when done within a community setting since it brings closure closer to home, thus allowing people to live their lives freely, believing in promises made by Jesus about eternal life filled with joy unspeakable.
Overcoming Spiritual Attacks (Ephesians 6:10-18)
For Christians who are up against spiritual warfare, Paul’s instruction in Ephesians 6:10-18 is a must-read. He emphasizes that we should be prepared for anything by putting on the armor of God and resisting the devil. In this section, truth becomes a belt; righteousness, a breastplate; faith, a shield; salvation, a helmet; and the sword of the Spirit is described as God’s word. These elements are crucial because they help protect us from spiritual attacks while also building up our defenses against future ones. It is important to note that enemies are not humans but forces such as wicked spirits in heavenly places, which requires us to have strong concrete walls like those used during physical battles.
We can counteract various strategies employed by demonic powers if we know how each piece works together with others. The Belt of Truth fights lies that might make one fall apart easily, whereas the Breastplate of Righteousness guards against condemnations or guilt that may come upon someone through accusations by evil beings around them. Shod feet with Peace Gospel beneath ensures stability even when everything else around seems shaking because it gives hope based on eternal promises made by our Creator. The Shield of Faith keeps off arrows shot at us from different angles aimed at making us lose confidence in God’s ability to save. The Helmet of Salvation protects minds so that thoughts remain steadfastly fixed on what God has promised. Lastly, the Sword of the Spirit (which represents the Word) can be both an offensive and defensive weapon capable of cutting through deception while at the same time asserting divine truth during battle against unseen principalities. To underestimate these defenses would be disastrous, as their sole purpose is to disarm and bewilder believers. But once you wear it, no attack can harm you anymore. Instead, you’ll also fight and win battles for yourself too! We need not only defend ourselves but also strive with great determination against all demonic powers, having full knowledge about their tactics; otherwise, they will catch us unaware, according to Apostle James. So let us use them diligently together with a constant, watchful, prayerful attitude, which will lead to overcoming every attack and moving on strongly towards the mark set before us in this Christian race.
Attaining Emotional Wholeness (John 10:10)
In John 10:10, Jesus explains why He came and what He intended to do. This is not just about saving us from destruction but also giving us a richly satisfying life. These two statements seem to be complete opposites; one wants everything good for mankind while another seeks only its ruin. The idea of an abundant existence has nothing to do with physical prosperity alone or any kind of materialism but it covers all aspects – emotional health being one of them which can never be achieved outside Christ who heals hearts completely thereby making them whole again forever. Emotional stability is therefore not optional but necessary and depends on continuous healing in Jesus as well as through personal spiritual practices within the church community.

Conclusion and Reflection (Colossians 3:12-17)
In order to conclude this meeting, we should look back on how we can apply compassion, kindness, humility and gentleness in our lives everyday. These things must be done with patience at the same time.
The way that these virtues are explained by Colossians 3 makes sense because they don't only keep us healthy spiritually or emotionally but also make stronger the ties among all communities in Christ Jesus our Lord.
May it become a foundation for further healing and spiritual liberation. Let’s not stop searching for and living out the abundant life that Jesus gives, but rather let us always be transformed by his love and truth through renewal of our hearts and minds.
Blessings,
Pastor Sarah Tomlinson
Healing The Brokenhearted
Testimony of Transformation: From Darkness to Light
Kelly Cantrell's Christian Inner Healing Process: A Step-by-Step Walkthrough
A Christian Inner Healing session was attended by Kelly Cantrell where she was prayed for and given guidance. This session was led by Pastor Timothy Tomlinson who wanted to address her spiritual and emotional distress that came about after a brief encounter with drugs which opened up what she described as ‘doors of darkness’ in her life.
Recognition of the matter: After using drugs, Kelly said she felt disconnected and swallowed up by darkness, which seemed to have invited negative spiritual influences. She said that she wants to close this door and find her peace again.
Invocation and Prayer: Pastor Timothy began the session with a prayer where he called upon Jesus Christ asking Him to intervene in Kelly’s life. He prayed for healing of the brokenhearted and setting at liberty those who are oppressed, therefore placing what they were doing within the context of deliverance as found in the Bible.
Identification of Spiritual Openings: Pastor Timothy helped Kelly identify what he referred to as “legal rights” or spiritual openings that could have been created through drug use. He stressed on the need for such recognition so as to close them effectively.
Volunteer’s Confession and Renunciation: Instructing her verbally renounce connections related to drug abuse among other things; pastor also told her confess sins known during this period thereby canceling any perceived authority that darkness might claim over her life.
Direct Engagement with Jesus’ Healing: Pastor Timothy took Kelly through an exercise where she had to see Jesus entering into specific moments when she was hurt or scared due to substance abuse problem(s). He encouraged her seeing him recover those places back from evil powers.
Affirmation of Protection and Closing Prayer: The last part involved speaking out assurances regarding safeguarding individuals according to Jesus’ promises while acknowledging some territories previously overshadowed by Kelly’s temporary drug experience. Then Pastor Timothy finished with gratitude prayer affirming peace restoration around her through Christ.
The goal of this session was to not only give Kelly immediate relief but also equip her with spiritual tools necessary for maintaining long-term freedom and healing. This is a typical Christian Inner Healing process that involves recognizing the problem, seeking divine intervention, active participation in spiritual closure and healing among others.
Step-by-Step Walkthrough of Anna Olszowska’s Christian Inner Healing Process
Anna Olszowska recently attended a session on Christian Inner Healing where she opened up about her newly diagnosed bipolar disorder and the overwhelming debt that she believed was contributing to her emotional distress. The session was led by Pastor Timothy Tomlinson who provided spiritual counsel and prayer for healing.
Introduction and Recognition of Problems: She began by explaining what was happening in her life including the recent diagnosis, as well as financial burdens causing anxiety levels to rise significantly; not only did this person want relief from these things but also desired understanding about their spiritual or emotional root causes too.
Call for Divine Aid: To start off, Timothy called upon Jesus Christ asking that He would come with His illuminating presence into their midsts thereby granting clarity, tranquility and recovery unto them all according to their needs. He underscored the fact that Christ can fix any kind of brokenness-be it spiritual or emotional.
Identification of Emotional Wounds: Her mental health condition may have been worsened by money matters so Pastor Tim directed her attention towards deep emotional wounds which could be open doors spiritually speaking due to financial stressors coupled with other psychological problems like depression etc., then he told her she should voice them out since doing so helps bring about a cure through exposure.
Prayer for Denouncement & Pardon: As part of this process Anna renounced every negative attachment relating to her mood disorder and debts before forgiveness prayers were offered both for self-blame plus anyone else involved whose actions may have contributed negatively towards such predicaments because without forgiving ourselves/fellow men there can’t truly be inner healing – said Pastor T.
Visualizing The Healing Power Of Jesus: Next Timothy asked Anne if she could see pictures in her mind’s eye where Jesus walked beside each traumatic moment throughout all stages past recent history especially those mentioned earlier; guiding them one by one until they were healed then filling up vacant spaces with His peace and love.
Recovery Confirmation plus Putting Things Right: He concluded that part of the session by assuring her that he believed Jesus had already started restoring health back into various aspects of Ann’s life; financial restoration inclusive
Conclusionary Gratitude Prayer & Protection: Finally, after having found mercy at such a place as this she couldn’t help but pray passionately thanking God for everything done through Christ who strengthens us according to His might while asking continuously even beyond now so let not the enemy have any power over her anymore but may she always dwell securely under divine wings forevermore.
