 The mercy court of heaven is a concept found in Christian theology. It is a place where believers can go before the throne of grace and seek mercy from Jesus, the judge of all things. In this court, believers can bring their struggles, doubts, and fears before Jesus and ask for his guidance and help. 

​

The idea of a mercy court is based on the idea that, as human beings, we are fallen and imperfect. We are constantly in need of God's mercy and grace in order to overcome the challenges and hardships of life. The mercy court of heaven is a place where we can go to receive this mercy and grace and find the strength and guidance we need to overcome whatever difficulties we are facing.

Coming before Jesus in the mercy court of heaven is an important part of the Christian life. It allows us to humble ourselves before the Lord and acknowledge our need for his help and guidance. It also gives us the opportunity to receive the mercy and grace that only Jesus can offer, which can help us to overcome the struggles and challenges of life.

In the book of Luke, chapter 18, verse 1-8, we read the story of a persistent widow who goes to a judge seeking justice. Despite the judge's initial reluctance to help her, the widow persists in her requests until the judge finally grants her justice. This story is often interpreted as a reminder to be persistent in our prayers to God, who is just like the judge in the story.

In the book of Isaiah, chapter 41, verses 21-29, we read about God's promise to be with his people and to help them in their time of need. God says, "I will be your God, and you will be my people. I will hold your hand and strengthen you; I will protect you and save you." This passage reminds us that we can trust in God to help us when we are in need and to be our advocate before the judge.

In the book of Daniel, chapter 7, we read about a vision that Daniel has of the coming judgment. In this vision, Daniel sees the Ancient of Days seated on a throne, with the holy ones of heaven standing before him. The Ancient of Days is a symbol of God as the ultimate judge, and this passage reminds us that one day we will all stand before God to be judged.

Luke 18:1-8 (NLT)

One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. 2 “There was a judge in a certain city,” he said, “who neither feared God nor cared about people. 3 A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, saying, ‘Give me justice in this dispute with my enemy.’ 4 The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, ‘I don’t fear God or care about people, 5 but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’” 6 Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge. 7 Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?”
